Timeframe clock updater
=======================

1. Plug the clock into this computer with a USB cable.
(Many charging cables carry power only. If it isn't found, try another.)

2. Double-click: Update my Timeframe clock

3. Follow what it says. It takes about a minute.

At the end it shows your clock's SERIAL NUMBER and writes it to
"Clock serial number.txt" next to these files. Send that to Lachlan - it is
the only thing he needs from you to finish setting the clock up.

That's all. It works out which clock you have by itself - including the
oldest ones, which run different software - installs the new version, and
tells you what to do next.

If Windows says "Windows protected your PC"
-------------------------------------------
That warning appears for anything downloaded from the internet. Either click
"More info" and then "Run anyway", or avoid it entirely next time by
right-clicking the ZIP file BEFORE unzipping it, choosing Properties, ticking
"Unblock", and then extracting it again.

If you want to check things first
---------------------------------
Double-click "Check my clock (no changes)". It finds the clock, tells you
which one it is, and changes nothing at all.

If something goes wrong
-----------------------
The updater writes Timeframe-update-log.txt next to these files. Send that to
Lachlan and he'll know exactly what happened.

If it ever tells you to leave the clock plugged in, please do - it is much
easier to finish an interrupted update than to recover one that lost power
half way.
